Sign-up with the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada - Online Form

​​​​​​​​​​​The Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) is now allowing documents to be submitted electronically through Canada Post’s secure Connect service.

Before you begin, please read the Instructions on how to submit documents to the IRB. The Instructions will guide through the following three-part process:

  • Sign up with the IRB for ​access to Connect (below)
  • Register with the Connect Service (through the email you will receive from the IRB)
  • Submit your documents through Connect

Important Notice

You should not use Connect to make a refugee protection claim. Please visit Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada's (IRCC) website for information concerning making a refugee protection claim from inside Canada or making a refugee protection claim from outside Canada.

Please do not send any emails directly to an IRB email address associated with the Connect secure conversation with the IRB.

If you have at least one active case before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB), with the exception of the Immigration Division, and you are the subject of the proceeding. It can be either:

  • A refugee claim before the Refugee Protection Division
  • An appeal before the Refugee Appeal Division
  • An appeal before the Immigration Appeal Division
  • An application to the Refugee Protection Division by the Minister for vacation or cessation of refugee protection

Counsel:
Counsels who are members in good standing of a professional body (lawyers, or members of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council, Ontario paralegals and Quebec Notaries) who have clients with active cases before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB), with the exception of the Immigration Division.
