Communicating by email at the Immigration Appeal Division

Communicating by email is now possible at the Immigration Appeal Division (IAD).

The Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) is pleased to share that effective of January 31 2020 the IAD will allow the submission of documents or other correspondence by email in all regional registry offices.

The practice notice explains when and how emails can be submitted. Appellants can now consent to submitting email on the new notice of appeal forms, or by providing an email address to the IAD.
