In accordance with the Policy on Disclosing Information Regarding the Conduct of Authorized Representatives to Regulatory Bodies, on December 18, 2020, the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) issued a decision prohibiting immigration consultant and member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC), Mumtaz Khan from:
- representing, advising, or consulting with any person regarding any proceeding concerning that person before the IRB; or
- appearing on behalf of any person before any Division of the IRB;
for a period of 3 months; and
- requiring that proof of successful completion of a course on ethical practice be provided to the IRB prior to his resuming such activities.
