As you know, a tornado and violent storm occurred in the National Capital Region (NCR) on Friday, September 21, 2018. Any immediate danger from this storm has passed and work is currently underway to clear debris and repair any damaged electrical and other infrastructure.
To facilitate these ongoing efforts and to avoid unnecessary congestion on city roads, Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat is asking all NCR-based employees to work from home on Monday, September 24, 2018, if possible. While it is anticipated that work will resume as normal on Tuesday, this will be confirmed via a notice on the IRB's public website on Monday evening.
Employees who have been personally affected by the storm are encouraged to speak with their supervisor or contact the Employee Assistance Program (Tel. 1-800-268-7708).
